ABOUT IHH HEALTHCARE x SINGAPORE SEA REGATTA 2026
DATE: 5 - 6 SEPTEMBER 2026
TIME: 0800H - 1900H
LOCATION: BAYFRONT EVENT SPACE @ MARINA BAY
The IHH Healthcare x Singapore Sea Regatta (IHHSSR) is Singapore’s premier international dragonboat race and community festival, bringing together athletes, healthcare institutions, corporate partners, and communities from around the world in a celebration of sport, resilience, and unity.

Held annually at Marina Bay, IHHSSR goes beyond the excitement of racing to champion meaningful healthcare and social causes through sport and public engagement. The 2026 edition centres on dementia awareness and recognising the vital role that caregivers play in the patient journey, in conjunction with World Alzheimer’s Month. Featuring race categories for all ages and experience levels alongside a vibrant festival atmosphere, IHHSSR continues to foster camaraderie, inclusivity, and the spirit of healthy competition — making it a unique highlight of Singapore’s sporting calendar.

As part of the event experience, athletes and visitors can also look forward to community activations, wellness booths, recovery partners, and exclusive privileges through the SSR Athlete Privilege Programme, connecting participants with brands and organisations that support active lifestyles, recovery, and holistic wellbeing both on and off the water.

We are honoured to welcome Minister Ong Ye Kung, who will be gracing the opening ceremony and paddling in the Minister’s Cup alongside healthcare workers. His participation symbolizes solidarity with patients and their families, reinforcing the shared commitment to health and community.

OUR CAUSE
Dementia Awareness & Caregiver Support
The Singapore Sea Regatta 2026 is proud to dedicate this year’s event to raising awareness for dementia and recognising the invaluable role that caregivers play in the lives of persons living with dementia.

As Singapore’s population ages, dementia continues to affect not only individuals, but also families, caregivers, and communities. Beyond memory loss, dementia changes the way people experience the world — often creating emotional, physical, and social challenges for both patients and their loved ones. Through SSR 2026, we hope to spark conversations, build understanding, and encourage a more compassionate and dementia-friendly society.

This year’s event will also place a special spotlight on caregivers — the often unseen heroes who journey alongside persons living with dementia every day. Whether family members, healthcare workers, domestic helpers, or community partners, caregivers provide immense emotional support, patience, and strength, often while balancing many responsibilities of their own.
Through sport, community engagement, and public outreach, SSR 2026 aims to bring together healthcare institutions, community organisations, athletes, and members of the public in support of this important cause. Alongside the races, the festival will feature educational booths, community partners, wellness activations, and outreach initiatives involving seniors from Active Ageing Centres and Dementia Day Care Centres.

By coming together on and off the water, we hope to foster greater empathy, awareness, and support for individuals and families navigating the dementia journey — because no one should walk it alone.
