The Champions' Race is the pinnacle showcase event of the Singapore Sea Regatta — an exclusive invitational race featuring some of the fastest and most accomplished dragonboat crews in the region. Bringing together top-performing teams from major local races alongside Singapore's national dragonboat athletes, this race celebrates elite competition, excellence, and the relentless pursuit of greatness. Through this race, the SSR honours the dedication of the dragonboat community while inspiring the next generation of paddlers.

The Kitchen Sink Race is one of the most entertaining highlights of the Singapore Sea Regatta — a lighthearted challenge where teams must race 50 metres without using traditional dragonboat paddles. Instead, crews propel their boats forward using kitchen utensils such as spatulas, ladles, frying pans, whisks, and wooden spoons. Designed to celebrate creativity, humour, and team spirit, it reminds everyone that dragonboating is also about community, laughter, and shared experiences.

The Rojak Race is a unique race designed to break boundaries and bring people together. Participants from different teams are mixed to form new, diverse crews. Instead of racing with their usual teammates, paddlers collaborate with strangers-turned-friends from across the local and international dragonboat community. A key highlight is the inclusion of paddlers from both public and private healthcare sectors — a rare opportunity to connect beyond the workplace.

The Tidebreaker is a DB6 Dragon Tug-of-War — a test of raw power, timing and teamwork as two crews battle against each other and the tide. It's a spectacle of brute strength and synchronised grit that always draws the loudest cheers from the crowd.
